Description

Tucked into the turn of the tumbling Vltava river lies the humble neighborhood of Hole?ovice. Its industrial past has since passed into a residential and business quarter whose calm nature fills the nearby centre. (10 minutes tram ride away) It?s here that Sir Toby's is located.

Sir Toby's upholds the finest hostel tradition, with delightful dormitories for sleep satisfaction, and private rooms of all possible sizes and descriptions. Tea is provided free of charge in our comfortable kitchen, where cooking combines with camaraderie.

We have internet access, Prague maps, and laundry, and our young friendly staff can help with your quandaries. All-you-can-eat breakfast will fill you for a small fee (90 Kc) and there's a bar in the evenings for gossip and glee. Transport tickets are available, as are lockers and you can borrow from our library during your stay. Our historical art-nouveau building is ready to host your European euphoria or your meandering melancholia.

A calm neighborhood, it should be noted, does not mean devoid of life. Within a five-minute walk of the hostel, one can find supermarkets, photo-processing stores, a teahouse, a post-office, hairdressers, second-hand clothing stores, the Prague Markets (for fresh fruits and vegetables, clothes, and much more), a paper shop, copy shop, health food shop, butcher's, baker's, restaurants, clubs, and whatever else one's daily life requires.

Amongst other things, we offer: internet, free WI-FI, international public pay phone, free city maps, laundry service, BBQ, airport shuttle service, and extensive information about Prague. Take advantage of our free information computer to search information about Prague, as well as transportation links!

Occasional movie nights are also held in the pub.

Directions

From The Main Train Station (Hlavni Nadrazi):
Take Metro Line C (Red Line) direction Ladvi
Get off at Vltavska (second stop).
Exit with the main escalator to the street level. Once on the street level take any tram that departs to your left (with the Metro building to your back).
Get off at Delnicka tram stop (second stop).
Cross the tram line to the opposite side of the street and walk to the traffic lights.
Turn left at the corner onto Delinicka Street. The hostel will be about 100m down on the left hand side.

From Florenc Bus Station:
Take Metro Line C (Red Line) direction Ladvi.
Get off at Vltavska (first stop).
Then follow the description above.

From Nadrazi Holesovice: (second train station in Prague)
Either walk from here (about 10min walk), or take a tram. At the tram stop in front of McDonalds, take any tram departing to your left when standing with your back to the McDonalds building. Get off at Delnicka tram stop (second stop). Continue in the direction of the tram to the traffic lights. Turn right at the corner. The hostel will be about 100m down the street on the left hand side.

From The Airport:
Personal airport pickup is available on request. You must email us to request this service. The rate is 500CZK for 1-4 persons; 900CZK for 5-8 persons.
Take the 'AE' airport express bus to Nadrazi Holesovice (last stop). Then follow the description above.

If the "AE" is not running, take bus #119 to the last stop which is called DEJVICKA. Enter the Metro at the bus drop off. Take the Metro in the direction SKALKA. Get off at HRADCANSKA (1st stop). When you exit the Metro you will still be underground. Take street exit listed as "Holesovice". You can take tram 1 or 25. Exit at tram stop DELNICKA (7th stop). Cross the tram line to the opposite side of the street and walk to the traffic lights. Turn left at the corner onto Delnicka Street. The hostel will be about 100m down on the left hand side.
